How do I get Rest Easier?

Accepted Answer

Most people get Rest Easier through their employer, as part of their benefits package — if that's you, your HR team will have sent you a link to get started, and there's nothing for you to pay. You can also buy it directly for yourself. Either way you get the same product.

Which parts of the UK does Rest Easier cover?

All of it — England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The law isn't identical across them. Scotland in particular works differently: a spouse, civil partner and children have legal rights to a share of your estate that a will can't remove, and property and land pass under different rules. Rest Easier follows the rules that apply where you live.

Is a will made with Rest Easier legally valid?

Yes, provided you sign and witness it correctly — we take you through exactly what that means and who can act as a witness. A will that isn't executed properly isn't valid, wherever it came from. If your situation is complex — business interests, assets held abroad, a trust, a second family, or anything you think may be contested — we'd always recommend taking advice from a solicitor.

What happens to my data?

Your information is encrypted and stored securely, and we only use it to build your plan. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what we hold and why.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. Deleting removes your personal data from our systems permanently, so download anything you want to keep first. If you'd rather we did it for you, email help@resteasier.co.uk.

Can I get my documents out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can download your will and everything you've entered at any time, and we'd encourage you to keep a copy somewhere your executor can find it. A plan nobody can locate doesn't help anyone.
